“All stories have points to make, but what point I’ve made is up to you to make sense of — or don’t, I don’t really care.” The dead man adjusted his left arm, which had begun to fall from its socket. “Regardless of the outcome, I do thank you for your intent in burying me.”

With that, the dead man walked off into the cosmos to haunt it forever more.
