Choose Your Own Adventure

It’s been a long drive. A drink sounds pretty good. You eye the eclectic assortment of tap handles. You imagine yourself a connoisseur, so you always look to try something local wherever you go.

Choice 1 You stand before a massive body of water: a great lake. The sky is overcast and everything is so misty around you that you can only see about thirty yards in any direction. Behind you, a dense coniferous tree-line forms an ominous barrier. You remove your shoes.

Choice 1 You awake suddenly. You lie prone on the cold ground. The integrity of your environment-suit’s seal seems sound. Your breath fogs the inside of your visor…or possibly it’s your mind that is foggy from whatever put you in an unconscious state. Gathering your bearings,
